Significant "Draw" Freezing on 1.7.4

I have a large farm, filled with sheep, cows, and chickens on the edge of a cliff over an ocean. When looking around, at some point the camera freezes up. When it finally unfreezes, a certain amount of time has passed (for example, the sun went from "setting" to "oh god all the zombies forever RUN" levels of brightness). This issue does not occur in v1.7.2, so I've rolled back.
