Exception Access Violation at startup

Minecraft crashes instantly and comes back to the launcher.

What I expected to happen was...:
The launcher to disappear and load Minecraft.

What actually happened was...:
The window can only be seen for an instant before vanishing and bringing the launcher back up

Steps to Reproduce:
For my computer...
1. Start Launcher
2. Sign in
3. Click "Play"
4. Watch it fail.
