Minecraft wont display Texture Packs custom Mojang logo

I'm a texture pack developer and my texture pack is a x32 texture pack. The Mojang logo pre 49a was in HD and then Mojang scaled it to x16 but I want to use the HD one because its and HD texture pack. So I put it the HD version at \assets\minecraft\textures\gui\title as mojang.png. When I ran MC 1.7.2 with my texture pack it had the new HD Mojang logo. But in 49a I noticed that it was still displaying the x16 version so I don't know if this is intentional but it I would like this fixed.
