Flowers only produce one of it's dye

Flowers only produce one of it's dye

What I expected to happen was:
That when my brother was playing, The flowers that he got produce two dyes each per flower.

What actually happened was:
My brother only got one dye per flower and not two.

Now I don't know whether this is a bug or a feature.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Collect any one of the flowers.
2. Place them in your crafting grid in your inventory.
3. And you would only get one dye per flower!
