Light glitch on corner stairs and slabs

Black shadow appears when creating upside down corner stairs or half slabs (see images).
Bug appears with Smooth Lighting ON and OFF.

26-Oct-12: I just found out why the bug is happening. If I remove the blocks behind both stairs the glitch goes away. I added pictures 2-3-4
