Angry wolves dont attack

So basically angry wolves don't attack you.

So i went and tried out the new AMPLIFIED world type and found some wolves. Then i since i had no internet and i was bored (i only went on single-player because i was at my grandma's house and my dad would not let me put on the internet because he thinks minecraft lets hackers get into the internet) and i hit a wolf. It's eyes turned red like normal and the texture of it turned gray as usual but i expected to die but it just came up to me and it looked like it was trying to push me but no hearts fell. I don't know if it affects other world types though. I thought i took a screenshot of it but i searched for it and i couldn't find it, Sorry.
