In 1.7.2 when you ban a player and the player logs in, an error is shown and not a ban message

in 1.7.2 When I was banned from a server, I wanted to log in and see if I was unbanned and I did not see a banned message I saw an error. It can also just sit there and say "Logging in" And not do anything else.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Log into minecraft 1.7.2
2. Get banned from a server
3. Try logging into the server and you might see the error or "Logging in" Message just sitting there
