render problem when sellecting any type of torchs

Why'll playing creative I try and select any type of torch and place it into the action bar but when I select it the rendering of the land trees and 3/4 of the items in the inventory selector turns black . You can also see it in the attached screen shot I added ? I've also deleted all minecraft off of my computer than reinstalled to see if this fixed the issue , but still there.
