Chat has been unable to work

Whenever i get onto my minecraft my chat wont show on my worlds or any of my servers i have a skyblock that ive worked hard on for a year and now i cant play on it because i cant enter in commands i can open chat at all so what am i suppose to do i dont have any mods either its all vanilla minecraft please mojang help me
