Superflat world is partially normal world

I created a superflat world and i spawned in a normal world. I looked around and everything was just like in a normal world, but when i started moving forward, there was a huge drop and flat biome at the bottom, and the flat biome just kept going on and on. but if I went the other way, everything was just like in a normal world.
