Minecraft crashes when i try and join a server

minecraft crashes whenever i try and join hypixel, but other servers work fine and singleplayer works fine.

What I expected to happen was...:
I would get into the server I wanted, mc.hypixel.net

What actually happened was...:
my minecraft would crash while trying to log in, even after taking out mods, resource packs, changing versions, and redownloading minecraft.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. add server, mc.hypixel.net
2. Click "join server"
3. it crashes after clicking "join server"
