Shiftclicking a crafting recipe gives you double the points on the scoreboard

I set up a scoreboard objective with /scoreboard objectives add makePlanks stat.craftItem.5

When I craft the Item normally, the amount of times crafted will get added to the scoreboard objective, just as it should. But if I do the same thing with the same quantity but use shift click to craft it, I'm getting double the points. Pretty sure this is a bug.
