cave spider spawners not being generated in abandoned mine shafts created in new 1.7 terrain

Since the 1.7.2 update was released and the server I play on was updated I have explored two mine shafts which i know nobody else has been in but within the five cobweb filled corridors I have found where i would normally encounter cave spider spawners not one single cave spider spawner has been generated.
