java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Could not initialize class ek
The game crashes when loading. This occurs both when connecting to a server, when starting a new single player game and when loading an old game.
The problem ocurred after the 1.7.2 update and an update to OSX Mavericks (10.9) which deleted Java entirely.
