Not taking falling damage after quitting and coming back

The easiest way to replicate the bug is to get on top of a high place, jump off and while in mid-air Save and quit, then come back.

I did this on accident. I wanted to change setting while falling, and I clicked "save and quit" on accident, when I came back, I wasn't hurt.
