Controls keys can only be limited subset (ascii) as oposed to before

Since upgrading, Minecraft do no support some characters. I was using «é» as the move foward key but it do not work anymore in 1.7.2.

Depending on the way the previous version worked either:
> That character was in an ascii extended range and fitted inside 1 bit (iso 8859).
> The shortcut handled UTF-8 characters.

In all case this is a regression that may cause problems for users working with non qwerty keyboard.
