[MC-37398] Clicking super secret settings in the main menu throws an exception (but does not crash)

If you click "super secret settings" after starting the game but before loading a world an exception will be logged in the console, although the game does not crash. This is not a major bug, but it could be an indication of a deeper problem. Here is the logged exception:
