Pick Block Black Screen

Upon middle clicking(pick block) anything (tested with poppies and grass) every solid block turns black(including the stuff in the hotbar), except the liquids, which turn grey. The sky remains normal colors, and this won't revert to normal until you restart Minecraft (not just the world).

What should happen, is the block should appear in the hotbar, and everything else should be completely normal.

What actually happened was that the block went into your hotbat as expected, but everything turned black at the same time.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a world and set gamemode to creative
2. Pick Block seemingly anything
3. watch as everything turns black.
