Resource Pack Sound issues

I was trying to see if I could get my sounds to work in the 1.7 pre-release I ordered it at the top in the resource pack list with another resource pack in the middle (Vondoomcraft), then default of course at the bottom. My sounds did not work so I tried again with only the sound pack the sounds still did not work. (I of course assume I just did something wrong and am stupid)
