Status effects display strangely when moving damaged items in inventory

steps to reproduce:
1) spawn/find a mob- a zombie should do
2) grab yourself a sword
3) drink a potion with a lasting effect, such as invisibility or fire resistance
4) go into survival
5) hit the zombie
6) get back in creative before he kills you
7) open your inventory
8) pick up the sword from its slot in your hotbar
