Critical foodbar decreasing while sprinting and jumping

Food decrease critically while jumping in a 2-blocks-high space

What I expected to happen was...: After approximately 15 jumps, food should decrease by 1 point

What actually happened was...: Each 2 or 3 jumps, it decrease by 1 point. It's also very difficult to travel long distance with the "Bunny Hopping" technique.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. For example, build a long tunnel 2 blocks high (cf. Screenshot)
2. Press the Sprint control (or Double-Press Z), and press frequently the Space-Bar, in order to jump as many time as you can.
3. The foodbar should decrease very quickly
