Unable to grow single Dark Oak Sapling with bonemeal

I had loaded the new snapshot to see the new features, I had managed to grow an acacia tree with bonemeal, but when i tried growing the roofed oak sapling with bonemeal it didnt work. I had probably clicked it with bonemeal at least 100 times, then I thought it was in a bad area, So i moved it to a clear area and tried again, nothing happened. I then tried growing a regular oak sapling in the area and it worked fine.
