TNT sticks halfway from pistons

I expected the piston to push the TNT away and for the TNT to fall down into the pit.

The sticky piston and the TNT got powered but the TNT didn't fall but stayed half in the sticky pistons extension, half in the pit.

Place a sticky piston and TNT.
Power them at the same time.
