Torches on NPC village lamps don't orient correctly

FIRST: Even though I selected creative, it happens in all 3. There is no button for that
SECOND:I found a village on superflat, and I looked at the black wool lamps, and noticed that the torches were in the on-ground position, not touching the lamp. They looked like they were floating.
