Not be able to destroy blocks

I can pick up the block, but the block doesn't disappear on my screen
I expected the block to drop (I tried it with dirt, and stone with a pickax)

I don't know how it happens, I have even tried to change the world, numerous times and the same result each time, no matter what gamemode I'm in.
