Cannot connect to my multiplayer server

I host a Minecraft snapshot server on my Macintosh, and with the new snapshots I cannot connect.

What I expected to happen was...:
I expected to open my multiplayer window in minecrraft and be able to see and join my server. Also I expected that in the server window running on my mac for it to show server history/chat

What actually happened was...:
I open multiplayer and under where I put my server it says nothing, but shows my connection, and puts "???" Under where it is puts the version.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Use the new Minecraft server code on a mac. Port forward, login to Minecraft on another computer connected to the same network, try to connect.
2. Possibly separate bug, possibly not, but it does not show the server history when setting up a server on a mac.
