Fast-Forward Unpausing

When I pause the game for awhile, the game brings the events up to date by fast-forwarding them instead of pausing it.

How to Repeat:
1.) Pause the game with a bunch of mobs around.
2.) Wait about 5 mins.
3.) Unpause and the animals should speed up erratically.
