Jack o' lanterns can make iron golems and snow golems

When i used a jack o lantern to light up the snow area a lot of golems started spawning. I don't know if this was intended. but it would be annoying to build with snow and jack o lanterns if this is the case.
I tried with iron golems and the same thing happens
