/give <player> <no-excisting-value> will shut down the game

When I tried to give me an item with the /give command, I accidently typed wrong ID,a nd instead of showing "invalid value", the game shuts down, just as if I pressed the "close" button on my window or if I typed "alt + F4". I get the crash report:
