enchantments seem to not work at all

Tested with diamond swords...

1: enchant a diamond sword in an anvil with "FIRE ASPECT II" or "LOOTING III"
2a: hit a cow with the Fire aspect one and the result is:
1: cow doesn't burn at all, no damage, no animation.
2: cow DOES drop cooked meat...
2b: hit a cow(any mob) with Looting III and the result is:
cow doesn't drop any additional leather and meat, not even after a hundred strikes!!

These enchantments seem to NOT work, maybe bcz of rewriting the enchantment piece of code?
