Paintings / Item Frames delay after destruction of the block they're attached to

When you hit the block an item frame is on, there is a delay between from when you destroy the block, it is attached to, to when the block(s) [Item frame & block put into the item frame] It takes about 4 seconds for the items to finally turn into entities.
