melon seeds do not spawn in chests in abandoned mineshafts or dungeons

I started a survival world and played it for a couple of weeks but became frustrated that I could not find any melon seeds.

I wrote a tool to inventory all the chests in the game save file and it found no melon seeds at all.

I created a new survival world in version 1.6.2, did a /gamemode 1 and flew for thousands of meters to make the game populate some chunks.

Out of 888 chests there were zero melon seeds.

I tried again with versions 1.5.2, 1.5.1, and 1.4.7. Only 1.4.7 had melon seeds. 1.5 and later did not put melon seeds in the abandoned mine shaft chests.

if this is intentional I'd like to know so I can update the wiki.

There are rumors 1.7 will put melons in the jungle, but I'll wait for the patch notes.
