Item Frames and Resource Packs

When using any Resource pack, my item frames do not look right.

They look like a mess, are transparent in some sections, periodically a pink light travels along the outside of the frame.

And items inside the frames are not correctly rendered, are sometimes the wrong object, and are often a mash up of objects.

Item Frames and the objects placed in them render fine without a resource pack, but not with any that I have tried.
