Chat deletes entire word, instead of one letter.

When using the chat, if i tab out of the game and come back in whenever i try to delete anything i the chat bar, an entire word gets deleted. Same thing if i try to move the selector left/right. When this happens pressing the drop button drops the entire stack not just a single item.
