Nether portal continues emitting light, even if portal is broken

The bug

When I light an 10x14 (length x height) nether portal, and then break it on creative, the light still remains after breaking.

How to reproduce

Make a 10x14 nether portal frame
Ignite it
Break it
Look at the remaining light after destruction
