Its weird how the 1.4.2 update wont install correctly. I think its a bug!

i had no choice but to do 1.4.4, but i ment for it to be 1.4.2. Sorry! It always downloads as a JAVA file, not the application. Can you help me out with this? Thanks, notchface72theminecraftfan
