Torch Fire Flashing Across Screen Bug

I noticed it on both gamemodes. On the right side of my screen, I saw the torch fire thing flash across my screen like 3 times. It was really fast, so I couldn't get a screenshot. I had torches in the area. I had placed some in 1.4.2 and 1.4.4.
