Minecraft force closes as soon as it goes to full screen mode, either manually using F11, or by settings.

After updating to 1.4.4 I was in the main menu of Mincraft and pressed F11 to go to full screen mode. The window stays small and turns black, and after about 8 sec. the crash report comes up.
I tried it a couple of times and then decided to put the settings to full screen mode. Basically the same happens, as soon as the game wants to go to FS it freezes again and goes to the crash report.

What I expected to happen was...:
go to full screen mode

What actually happened was...:
Force close, no playing minecraft

Steps to Reproduce:
Not sure what info I should give. Update to 1.4.4 on a windows 8 laptop and fail to go to FS mode. Please specify if you need more data .
