Controlling a pig sometimes doesn't work until you hit it

When mounting a pig, often it will freeze. Only after you punch it will it start following your carrotstick, but not before 'fleeing' and thus running around randomly for a few seconds.

This occurs in multiplayer, haven't tried singleplayer.
