Unable to type certain symbols and letters on Mac OS X

I'm a swedish minecraft player and lately, i haven't been able to type some letters, and it is annoying that you can't write understandable sentences. And over time i discovered that some symbols is also unwriteable. This issue only seems to appear for mac users.
