Sprinting down stairs doesn't work

What I expected to happen was...:
Sprinting down stairs should take the same time as sprinting up stairs.

What actually happened was...:
Sprinting down stairs is no faster than walking. Sprinting up stairs is almost twice as fast as walking, works fine.

Steps to Reproduce:
Make stairs, time sprinting up, then sprinting down the same stairs, and compare.
