"[SEVERE] Reached end of stream for /(IP Adress)" Spam in console

Whenever I run my minecraft server is will get spammed with the same message whenever a player(client) has my server in their multiplayer favorites and they clikc the "Refresh" button to ping my server. It will display [SEVERE] Reached end of stream for /"Ip Adress of Client'
This causes no real lag but is extremely annoying when multiple players have my server in their favorites. I have not tested the .exe but I know for a fact this happens with the .jar server application. The displayed log is me starting the server and clicking the refresh button.
