Banner pattern clear during mining

When a banner is undermined, its texture will change to that of the last broken banner, and if it's the first, to a white banner. But as soon as you stop mining, even if you haven't completely broken it, the pattern returns to normal.

You can see an ominious banner before mining, and a special banner (the one I completely undermined most recently) during mining.
