Spawning in pigs from eggs in creative spawns both the pink and snowy variant when clicking a tree leaf block

I attached a video. As shown in video I was spawning in the new pigs with an egg in creative mode and when clicked on a spruce tree leaf block on one side of it it spawned in the new pig. however when i clicked on the other side of the same leaf block in spawned in the standard pink pig.

It is not shown in the video but I also tried clicking other leaf blocks on different trees and in the case it only spawned pink pigs
