ON APPLE SILICON, CURSOR APPEARS DURING GAMEPLAY

On my apple silicon mac mini, the mouse cursor (and crosshair) show up during gameplay.

What I expected to happen was...:
The cursor only appears in menus (inventory, settings, main menu)

What actually happened was...:
Seemingly randomly, the cursor appears overtop of the crosshair, and it's annoying.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open java edition on latest macos
2. Open a previously played world
