Error in the operation of blue crystals

Error in the operation of blue crystals. There is a blue ore in Minecraft, and I was recently told that it was created as a fire dye to turn orange fire blue. I have already thrown about 2 stacks of blue crystals into it, but for some reason the fire does not turn blue. I'm playing on version 1.21.4
