Hitting a Creaking does not trigger Signal Strength 7 Calibrated Sculk Sensors

Steps to Recreate:

Place a Calibrated Sculk Sensor with a comparator pointing into its amethyst side, and a Respawn Anchor with 2 glowstone on the other side of the comparator.

Place a Creaking Heart with Pale Oak Logs on either side to summon a Creaking Transient.

Hit the Creaking Transient with a sword.

Observed Behaviour:

The Calibrated Sculk Sensor does not detect the Creaking being hit.

Expected Behaviour:

Hitting the Creaking should trigger the Calibrated Sculk Sensor, just like hitting an armor stand or any other mob (regardless of whether the mob actually takes damage).
