When I loaded into my Minecraft 1.21.4 world Sheilds weren't displaying correctly

I'm using A Mac and when I loaded into Minecraft today to test the new update the shield was rendered really weirdly in both the inventory and on my character. I attached a screenshot of the issue. I hope it helps.
