Elytra entirely resets the players momentum when deployed

When the player deployed their elytra prior to the 1.21.4 update, they would be able to maintain their momentum, allowing for quick, smooth feeling movement. 1.21.4 changes this, resetting the players momentum upon deploying their elytra. This results in weird/clunky feeling movement, taking away from the overall smooth feel of minecraft's movement system.
