Map scaling STILL breaks the map

I got a map and then scaled it, but the map was corrupted, and I ONLY saw my cursor and some green dots, but when I restarted Minecraft, It went to the normal starter zoom. I don't have enough paper to make another... So, I forgot to get any pictures, but will later.
